Asier aka Nebula is a Basque artist who started to compile ska and reggae style music since he was 17 years old. He has always been linked in one way or another to the world of music and he had always clear that he wanted to make his own contribution. Attracted to the Jamaican music, he began to attend popular events related to reggae and ska styles and is in this period when he begins to compile vinyls.

Having decided to dedicate himself professionally to what he really liked; he moved to Asturias in 2008 to begin his studies in Sound Production. It was then when he first met the CHALANERU SOUND SYSTEM. Thanks to their selektor N´ast Fyah, he began to develop a liking for vinyl sessions. This way, while practising in ZoNa 33 together with Lhayon, he began to familiarise himself with the working in a studio.

The Nebula Selektah project starts and consolidates in 2008 in Asturias. In this period Nebula begins to work with Maydgania Selektah (ASTUR SOUND) and different asturians Mcs. His first appearance as a selektor was for SC GANJA SOUND but he has also taken part in different events and sessions together with Garolo, Keipo, Ozonoman and Maydganja in FREEDOM FIGHTERS SOUND.

After finishing his studies, in 2010, Nebula came back to the Basque Country and started to look for a place in order to begin to make his own music.

Is in this period when he collaborated as a selektah with TXAKALES SOUND SYSTEM (MC Txango & Samurai) taking part in different events. On the other hand, Nebula has also given individual vinyl sessions. In 2012, he starts a new project called MIFA SOUND which is still in progress.

Nebula’s sessions include styles such as ska, early reggae, roots, dub, nuh roots, dancehall or jungle and he also includes some electronic sounds like dubstep or drum&bass, clearly focused on reggae style music.

Nebulas´s style won´t leave no one indifferent. His music is fresh and full of energy; a perfect mixture of inspiration and ability!

CASTELLANO

Asier aka Nebula es un joven getxotarra que empezó a recopilar música reggae y ska desde los 17 años.En esa época, comenzaba acudir a sus primeros conciertos de artistas jamaicanos que venían a Bilbo, alternándolos también con grupos vascos que compartían el género reggae&ska o acudiendo a sesiones locales. Comienza a comprar sus primeros vinilos.

Atraído por el mundo musical, en 2008 se marchó a Asturias a dedicarse el sonido. Fue entonces cuando conoció de primera mano a la agrupación CHALANERU SOUND SYSTEM. Gracias a su selektor N´ast Fyah fue desarrollando el gusto por las sesiones en vinilo y fue conociendo el trabajo de estudio de la mano de Lhayon en la ZoNa 33.

El proyecto Nebula Selektah nace y consolida entre marzo y noviembre del año 2009 en Asturias. En este periodo comienza a funcionar junto a Maydganja Selektah (Astur Sound) y diversos MCs asturianos haciendo su primera aparición como selektor para SC GANJA SOUND. Poco mas tarde, forma junto a Garolo, Keipo, Ozonoman y Maydganja FREEDOM FIGHTERS SOUND, realizando sesiones en diferentes locales de Asturias.

Tras finalizar sus estudios, en 2010 Nebula retorna a Getxo y comienza su búsqueda para formar un nuevo sound local. Se convierte en selektah de TXAKALES SOUND SYSTEM (MC Txango & Samurai) participando en diversas fiestas aunque paralelamente continua con sus sesiones individuales. En 2012 comienza un nuevo proyecto llamado MIFA SOUND que todavía sigue sin concretarse pese a las muchas colaboraciones.

Aunque la música jamaicana sea muy variada y tan diferente, sus sesiones cuentan con muchos estilos propios como el ska, early reggae, roots, dub, nuh roots, dancehall o jungle aunque tambien alterna sonidos mas electrónicos como el dubstep o drum&bass predominando siempre el reggae.

Su forma de pinchar no dejará indiferente ni a los mas veteranos en el mundo del reggae; sets energéticos bien acompañados de la motivación del selektor. Resumiendo; motivación y carisma unido al gusto por la mezcla.
