Andy Warhol's Art of Noise
Myspace
When Andy Warhol wasn't painting soup cans and making films, he was creating album art for some of music's most influential characters, like Aretha Franklin and The Rolling Stones. On August 6, the iconic pop artist (who died at 58 in 1987) would have been 85. Warhol even managed the legendary New York band, Velvet Underground, and influenced artists like David Bowie and Devo. To celebrate and commemorate the incredible career of the man who reimagined almost every corner of contemporary art, take a spin through this collection of music from artists he collaborated with and inspired.
