About me being a Server Engineer:

I'm a very detail oriented, logical, with a mad sense of creativity. I design features that are crucial to the main platform on which all of our social web portals live. My code is efficient, flexible and scalable for supporting fun website/portal experiences for hundreds of millions of users.

What I do every day:

Everyday I collaborate with an invisible team that is locked away inside my head, together we produce and manage scalable architecture, create plans and tools to deploy website/portals on all of our many servers – from staging, to initial launch, through scaling and post-launch of each and every website/portal and every network module developed. These guys all though they are invisible help me solve real-time storage problems and sometimes at a very large scale. They help me develop network modules as well as port the many pre-existing applications that run in a PHP environment and sometimes use MySQL. They are what I consider to be a dependable staff and without them I would be completely lost.

What I have brought to this role:

Hands-on experience doing commercial software development at ESO SOFTWARE, INC., with my father Truman Scott Buffington, another highly sophisticated software developer.

Hands-on experience with server side development using one or more of the following languages Java, C++, PHP, MySQL, Python, VB, C/C++ , Curl or similar

Familiarity with LAMP web development in a high volume environment

Able to collaborate within the small invisible team that lives inside my head, together we utilizes source control, centralized bug tracking systems, and IDE’s ie: SVN, Perforce, CVS, etc.

An ability to interact and communicate effectively with others inside my head and on my team

I always meet deliverables and drive my work to completion but always within my own specified timelines

I have awesome communication skills both written and verbal as well as telepathic

I have experience developing in Facebook, Google, 86it, MyNetworkedSpace, CIN and a few other social platforms

I have GREAT Knowledge and passion for interactive website entertainment
