It was formed by J and Eddy after the breakup of Highly Evolved. After 100′s of auditions it became Cory Pearce on Vocals, J on Guitar, Mirko Zadravec on Bass and Eddy Kulla on Drums. They we’re strictly an original band but were plagued with member changes. Mirko left shortly after the 2 song demo was recorded at Psycho Sound Studio and replaced by Alex Trifan. With Alex being a recording engineer they set up Studio 54 and recorded 4 more songs. Cory left before the vocal tracks were completed. Several more vocalists auditioned, Joseph King was picked. Vocals were added to the 4 new songs recorded and several others were written but not much further developed. Joseph left, the vocal tracks were removed and the search for a front man continued. Frustrated by all the changes My Mistake took a very long break. Eventually J relocated to another place in Toronto and Studio 54 was no more, Eddy moved to Ottawa and Alex to Montreal. Their story unfortunately ended there.
