Ian Bamford and Adam Speakman have been working together as musicians for over twenty years.
They began their careers playing drums and bass, forming the rhythm section for numerous Manchester bands in the '90’s, perhaps most notably as part of the genre busting Hulio Ridiculo & later, with indie rockers - The Stealers .

During this time they played support gigs to the likes of Jools Holland, China Crisis, Dodgy and Audioweb. Ten years ago they turned their talents to acoustic guitars and began writing & recording songs together. These recordings eventually led to an album (Back Up & Bounce), released in October 2005 .

Taking their name from a comedy character actor from the '30's, Moore Marriott were born. Help was enlisted along the way in the form of John Hulme on trumpet (from the Hulio days), Aileen Williams on cello & Phil Pearson on piano. The band has always been a bit of a movable feast, ranging from an acoustic duo to a 'full on' 7 piece, and there's been some fine contributions from great musicians along the way.

Here's a few names we'd like to credit & thank for their contribution: Rick Hughes - drums, Chris Perry - percussion, Joel Roberts - double & electric bass, Sandra Scattergood - keys, flute & sax, Conal Duffy - piano, John Hulme - trumpet & flugal, Aileen Williams - cello, Danny Cottrell - drums & Richard Longden - tenor sax.
