Mithotyn formed in late 1992 and completed their first demo, entitled Behold the Shields of Gold, by the end of the next year.
Their second demo, Nidhogg, got them a deal with Germany's Invasion label, which issued their debut album, In the Sign of the Ravens, in 1997. Metal Blade released Ravens in the U.S. in 1998. ~ Steve Huey
