Black Sun began his music career as J-Fine, a member of the rap trio AMB (After Midnight Boyz) in 1992.
In the late 90s, he went solo and changed his name to Black Sun and met with fellow local rhyme-smith Slimm Goines. The two M.C.s collaborated on the track "Real Mc Love" for Mr. Goines debut EP "Notes From The Scribe" .Black Sun then began recording and doing shows with Ruff Rhyme Records in 2001. Since the release of his long awaited debut album, "Full Eclipse", he has become one of the brightest and rising stars in the independent Hip-Hop/Rap scene. His hit single "Tonight" (featuring Cristalis) started getting nationwide airplay on Clear Channel owned radio stations while his other singles have been recently featured on several mixtapes by Coast 2 Coast Mix-tapes and played by Dee-Jays nationally and internationally.

Black Sun is also a member of the D.M.V. area's rap super group Tha Boogeymen with Slimm Goines, Multiple Man, Relentlezz Dre & producer Big Poppa Nard. They have recently released their first mixtape single, "Ambitionz", a cleverly devised remake of 2Pac's 1996 hit song "Ambitionz Of A Ridah". Their official debut single, "Judgement Day" will hit stores November of this year, followed by their debut album Global Domination.

Currently, Black Sun is touring the east coast & midwest to promote his latest hit single and video "So Whatcha Gotta Say" (The DMV Anthem) and preparing videos for "So Whatcha Gotta Say" (The Remix) featuring fellow DMV rappers J-Mill & Brandeesh. He is also working on his brand new project "The Hollywood Brown EP", to be released late 2013.
