2007 Minusheart was founded by Diver and Benden in Aachen, Germany.

Even if Minusheart are mostly inspired by the North American industrial scene, they are part of the newest wave of industrial electronic acts squalling out of Europe. Minusheart are approaching an even newer surge of adrenaline to a genre that already seems expanding to burst.

From winter 2007 to spring 2009 Minusheart worked on their first long player ‘Disease’ which was released in October 2009 on the german label Echozone. Artists like Monolith, Accessory or Myk Jung of The Fair Sex collaborated in the production of Minusheart’s debut. The first edition of ‘Disease’ contains the results of these fabulous sessions. Topical Diver’s lyrics outline the social diseases of our century without lacking sarcasm and irony.

In July Minusheart shot their first shortfilm ‘Feel No Pain’ which was directed by Robert Sukrow. In autumn 2009 the smash hit ‘Don’t Feed The Cats’ entered the spanish Club Charts and became a hit across Europe

In the mean time several musicians from all over the world started remixing the songs of Minusheart. Among others America’s industrial shooting stars Alter Der Ruine and the german electro heroes Destroid dealed with the tunes of Minusheart. In Spring 2010 Echozone spread around the release of Minusheart’s limited remix album ‘Healed’. Simultaneously the band produced their low budget music clip ‘Lifespan’ according to the ‘Breathtaker Club Version’ of Mono.Sys. Depending on the sickness of Benden it became as calm as a clock around Minusheart in summer 2010. The Band cancelled the planned live activities. During these days some compilations (like the imposing sampler Electro Pop Vol. 2 with O.M.D., Covenant, VNV Nation, Front Line Assembly) keep the name ‘Minusheart’ alive.

Already on his trip through Southern Europe in summer 2009 Diver started to write the poetry for the next Minusheart album ‘The Big Idea’. In February 2011 Benden left Minusheart. The very next day Vary, who once was the mastermind of Cyme In Bloom, joined Minusheart. Yet in winter 2010/11 Diver met him for some jam sessions at the Low Noise Studios Aachen. In Spring Diver and Vary finished “The Big Idea”. In May 2011 the belgian ‘enfant terrible’ Wildhoney, the well-known drummer of Luc Van Acker’s Revolting Cocks, and Upstream, a talented electronic musician from Aachen, dived into Minusheart. The intention was to integrate them as a support for Minusheart´s live performances. In June Frédéric Sapart directed Minusheart’s third video clip ‘Drawback’, which was also pronounced as the new single. After a Two-Years-Journey ‘The Big Idea’was released in October 2011. Diver´s lyrics deal with topics like love and social relations in a quite striking way. Depending on the electronic arrangement and the sound of the guitars that album reminds of raw electronic music from the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. In May 2012 the second single ‘Inglorious Bang’ was published, it contains a further remix by Accessory and versions by Diskonnekted and Mike Silence. The appendant clip, filmed by Tim Assmann and cut by Frédéric Sapart, appears on YouTube half a year before. As soon as May 2012 ‘Book Of Love’, the third video for ‘The Big Idea’, was finished by the german avant-garde filmmaker Schwarzdreher and was released forthwith.

In Autumn 2013 Minusheart published their third studio album ‘Calls From Space’ on Echozone. For the first time that album was composed by Diver and Vary from the beginning. Minusheart sound more complex than ever before. Vary brought the typical style of Minusheart up to ahigher level, even though Diver’s voice is still defining the heart and the mind of Minusheart. Actually his words address human and superhuman things and he is always referring it to the naivity of humanity. The works on ‘Calls From Space’ dip into the earlier sessions of Diver and Vary in spring 2011. For the second time in a row Minusheart worked together in studio with Ramón Creutzer, who also produced several years before albums of The Fair Sex, No More and The Legendary Pink Dots.
