From the streets of Fremantle to Sydney's ANZ Stadium and all around the world, Mike Nayar has clocked over 15 years as a professional musician and songwriter.
Since 1998, Mike has been developing his skills as a performer busking on the city streets to fronting well know Perth cover bands Audioperv and SideFX and has forged a solid reputation for his passion, professionalism and self taught music ability.
Making the switch to original music in 2008 and forming rock band My So Called Life, Mike soon received international acclaim when the band moved to America in 2012 to record their Debut Album. It was his time in Los Angeles, inspired by the process of recording, that finally motivated Mike to pursue music production as a full time career. Enjoying the creative challenge that came with writing his own music, Mike soon began branching out into other styles, collaborating on various projects from country to pop and RnB.
Returning to Australia in 2013 Mike Nayar is now a professional producer, song writer and performer as well as fierce advocate for original music in WA. Donating his time to developing young, up and coming artists and helping to bridge the gap between new bands and venues.
Other notable achievements include a performance at the 2011 grand opening of The Hard Rock Cafe in Sydney along side musical greats such as Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses) and Dj Leathal (Limp Bizkit.) In early 2013 he performed at Sydney's Stone Music Festival with his band My So Called Life which also included Aerosmith, Van Halen and many more. Later that year Mike was invited back to Sydney along with MSCL to perform live at The MusicOz Awards for which they also had 3 songs nominated in the Rock category.
Now in 2014 Mike Nayar devotes the majority of his time to writing and producing his new band Paris For The Weekend. Set to launch later in the year, Mike is already drawing attention both nationally and internationally in anticipation of his new project.
