McTours European motorcycle tours operate across selective parts of Europe with annual tours in Scotland, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.
McTours also offer occasional motorcycle trips in Austria, Switzerland, England, Wales, Ireland and other parts of Europe. McTours range of custom motorbike trips vary from adventure motorbike trips with on and off-road riding to Harley-Davidson design cruising tours with more mild curves and McTours can also organise a bespoke motorcycle tour package to meet your precise needs so you have total flexibility to dictate the precise tour that your group wants.

McTours European motorcycle tours are geared towards those who appreciate luxury. The hotels they select for their tours are usually at least 4 stars rated and have superb restaurants that are often Michelin starred. McTours guided motorcycle tours range from day trips operated from their Scottish base to lengthier adventure holidays that explore regions or Countries in far greater depth.

McTours begin their European Motorcycle Tour season in early spring when short tours are planned in the likes of the Algarve region or Portugal or Andalucia in Spain. These tours are based in the likes of a luxury Hilton hotel and each day a different circuit is taken so over the 4 or 5 days of the tour most of the area is explored. One major advantage this type of tour offers is that those who have non biking partners can enjoy a vacation too. The riders partner or perhaps entire family can enjoy the facilities at the hotel such as spa and leisure activities or visit attractions nearby whilst the rider is off exploring. They then regroup at the end of the day to share their experiences over dinner.

As the season progresses McTours move further north allowing regions like the Douro Valley to be explored. One tour offered begins in Madrid as it works its way west into Northern Portugal then back largely following the Douro crossing back into Spain and returning to Madrid. This particular European motorcycle tour will last 8-10 days involving 7 days riding mainly using the quieter back roads to give a true flavour of all the area has to offer the biker.

The next tours are likely to be in the Pyrenees crossing between Spain and France followed by tours in the Dordogne and Loire regions of France before McTours move even further north so that by mid-season they will be back in Scotland operating tours during those extremely long summer days that Scotland enjoys around June. By the height of summer that Alps are free from snow and so you will find McTours offering motorcycle tours in Provence and the Alps, or Northern Italy around the Italian Lakes. Near the end of summer it will be Tuscany or Southern Italy perhaps even the Italian Islands of Sicily or Sardinia.

Occasionally McTours operate longer tours. Some of their past bespoke tours have lasted 16 days with riding every day, though usually on longer tours at least one rest day is planned. For 2020 McTours will be offering a lengthier tour that begins in Naples, crosses Italy, then takes the Ferry to Albania where much of the country and neighbouring Macedonia are traversed. The tour then moves onto Corfu and parts of northern Greece beforere turning to Italy and ends with a circuit around the Amalfi coast. This outstanding trip lasts 14 days and has been cleverly designed so that riding is available all days but those needing a break can sit out some because the group will return to the same hotel some nights. All McTours motorbike trips have one thing in common, they will take you on a real motorcycle adventure.

Whilst riders can bring their own bikes and take part in a tour most will prefer to fly in and rent a motorcycle that McTours will organise for them. They can also arrange riding gear for those who want to travel light. A broad range of motorbikes can be supplied from leading brands such as BMW, Ducati, Honda, Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki and Triumph.
