Matte makes people regularly dance in fashionable top discos like Pineta by Visionnaire (Milano Marittima), Des Alpes (Madonna di Campiglio) and Etoile 54 (Perugia). His music is halfway between house, electronic music and easier sounds. “I love creating effects”, he says “I create almost all the pieces of my sets using filters. I enjoy attracting attention on the DJ and melting pieces together”. Both on the consolle and in his life he never stops a moment and if you feel his musical energy you never forget it.

He was a successful resident DJ in the main clubs in his hometown, then, at just 20, Matte became resident DJ of Caino Fashion Club, in Milano Marittima, one of the main Italian discos. He has been remixing and producing for leading labels like d:vision, Molto Recordings and Time Records since 2008. “Mp3” by rapper Mondo Marcio is among the many pieces he has remixed. Many top Italian DJs, in their sets, make use of the bootlegs that Matte Botteghi has realized starting from masterpieces of Adele and Jovanotti.

Matte’s artistic career starts with the theatre and the passion for music he shares with his father, a guitarist and a guitar collector. Up to the age of 16 he attended drama courses and he also took part in Sting’s videoclip “Fields of Gold”. “In that period I had my inspiration. My elder sister used to work in a disco, so at only 14 I was able to see a DJ at work in a 2000 people disco” says Matte. “I immediately fell in love with the DJ role and I soon started working in important clubs. My technique improved with the years, but I have always wanted to male people have a good time”.

Matte Botteghi’s first song, “For The World”, interpreted by good Sam Wood, was written by Matte himself. Many remixes are included in the release, not to forget those of Simone Cattaneo & Alex Gardini, Stefano Pain & Marcel, Rudeejay & Kando.
