Mary Elizabeth Boutté brings you the captivating music of the 1930’s, 40’s & 50’s with a classic, yet one-of-a-kind sound.
Mary's specialty is singing timeless melodies the way they were meant to be heard: vibrant, fun, romantic, and cool. Perfect for Retirement & Skilled Nursing Facilities, celebrations, or your special party, Mary believes that "Music Makes Memories."
Originally introduced to the Music of the Golden Age by her parents, Mary's love was renewed by leading Sing-A-Long and entertaining residents at the Multi-level Retirement Facility where she was employed by the Activity Department. Soon Mary Elizabeth Boutté was a staple at facilities in the Central Valley & now the East Bay.
The vocal style of Mary Elizabeth Boutté has been described as soulful, romantic, enduring and most of all memorable. A Modesto Bee reporter wrote, "When you hear Mary Elizabeth present and sing, her style is so relaxed and effortless you feel like you've known her forever," which is in part, why she is capturing large audience and fan appeal wherever she appears. The variety of song interpretations give the impression that you are transported to another era with Mary Elizabeth Boutté. Mary extends her dynamic range from being highly suitable for background music to an all-out dance swing sound. Her repertoire is from the "Great American Song Book" with composers such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and Rogers and Hart, with songs made famous Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald & Dianah Krall. Add to this vast musical array, bossa novas and Latin tunes as well as a handful of modern jazz and rock classics.
A CD is available upon request featuring sample versions of some of Mary's tunes. Mary Elizabeth Boutté is available and would love the opportunity to turn your next function into a special event. Remember, "Music Makes Memories."
