He completed his studies at the Conservatory of Vienna (master of arts) and the Berklee College of Music(Boston/USA). He is one of the most demanded studio and session players as well as jazz soloist in styles ranging from small jazz groups to big band and also plays in orchestral settings. Since 1991 he is teaching at the University of Music in Vienna and is endorser for Schagerl Saxophones and RICO Reeds.
