Mark started in the concert production and promotion business in the early 90's.
Produced mainly Hispanic and Hip Hop concerts in Miami and North Florida. He co-created and produced Miami Hip Hop Fest '98 featuring headline act DMX. The concert also featured ONXY, DAS-EFX, DOUG E FRESH and about 14 other local and international urban music artists.

He co-produced the Miami International Music Festival at Miami Bayside AT&T Amphitheater featuring Marc Anthony, El Gran Combo, Fania All-Stars and many other Salsa and Merengue acts who were hot at the moment.

Through his concert creations he has built marketing through music platforms for international brands such as Bacardi, Budweiser, HBO, The Florida Lottery, ENYCE, Heineken, Don Q, Western Union, Money Gram, DirecTV, AT&T Wireless, and T-Mobile to name a few.

In 1998, Lugo co-founded his first web based e-commerce business URBANCLOSET.com, an online marketplace for urban clothing brands such as Phat Farm, Baby Phat, EYNCE, FUBU, Mecca and others.

The early 2000's was a tough time for web based companies. So Lugo found a niche marketing tool. Outdoor rolling billboards.

Within no time, 212 MEDIA, co-founded by Mark and his cousin Arnold Rodriguez, well known New York City club promoter, had mobile billboards strolling down Ocean Avenue in Miami's South Beach promoting night clubs, events and casinos.

Mark saw a new method of marketing for big brand company. Wrapped vehicles. This was at a time when wrapping a vehicle was almost unseen. "It was kind of funny to see people come up and touch one of my motor homes and ask 'how did you guys paint that'?, jokes Mark Lugo. "We were ahead of our time printing big bumper stickers", he says laughing. Lugo created and managed the first wrapped motorhome tour for one of the world's leading online casino brands.

Lugo decided to call it quits in the rat race and moved to beautiful sunny Costa Rica. His dream was to write books and movies. Having many key contacts to the Costa Rican online casino industry he decided to write his first screenplay called Sportsbook, a fictional story about the world of online gambling...Think RUNNER RUNNER with Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck. (hint). He and his good friend actor Owen Miller wrote the screenplay. Lugo still has hopes of bringing Sportsbook to reality. "It was a good time for online casinos. It's a story that should be told", says Lugo. "The pioneers who really laid down the confidence in intangible e-commerce when even Levi's was having a difficult time doing it", he added.

Lugo and his wife, Alejandra opened a bohemian style restaurant in Costa Rica for a few years. After deciding that the restaurant business wasn't for them and spending time with their son was more important, they walked away from the business.

Today, Lugo is living and working on projects from his home in Barcelona. He has expanded the OfferBeam app to Latin America and Europe. Bandflo and the Europon app are his project-focus for 2015.
