Mario Kart DS is a race game, where the player races in a kart against other racers as you of eight personas, each with three karts to choose from.
While battling or racing, the Nintendo DS’s top display screen offers a third-person point of view of the player’s kart, as the bottom touch screen shows the race’s current standings, items taken by each racer, and a map of the course.
