MARCFRUTTERO
Marc Fruttero was born in Italy, in a small town at thefoot of the Maritime Alps.
Marc's first appearence was as acomposer of music for solo piano, in the late '70s, when some of hispieces in Classical / Neo-Romantic style were carried out in a localschool. A few years later, Marc went to Pop music with the single"Clara". Then Dance music; In 1984 the first version of"Darkness" was recorded at Minirec Studio in Turin."Aquarius" was a name originally created for a bandconsisting of Marc and some other musicians, but eventually turnedinto a "a recording project" whose musicians changeddepending on the songs. In 1985, "Darkness" was partially
re-arranged andmixed again at the Airport Studio in Milan. The following year it wasreleased by the Pentagramma label with a few other songs, including aduet with one of Giorgio Gaslini's jazz vocalists; FrancescaOliveri.
Always in the 80s, before the Aquarius project, Marcperformed jazz concerts in Parma, Italy.
Marc's style has beeninfluenced by the American and British Pop / Dance music, that he hasalways loved. The vocals were (and still are) very important to him, preferring American and British vocal styles, although thearrangements of his tracks were clearly typical of Italian Dancemusic of the 80's (now commonly referred as "Italodisco").
He has mainly produced songs to satisfy his passion for music.
In2004, as part of the Italian 80s Dance music revival, Marc started acooperation with the Finnish label Flashback Records. In the springof 2005 the vinyl maxi-single
"I Wanna Live with You"was released.
This was followed by other singles for the sameFlashback Records, including the
song "Disco Silvia",well known by the Nu Disco / Italodisco fans around the world, especially in Mexico and Poland.
The last vinyl single "Hero,"also in the Nu Disco style, was released in the Netherlands duringthe winter of 2013.
In addition to the vinyl singles, Marc hasreleased several songs on CD compilations, with independent labelssuch as the Polish 4EverMusic (distributed by Universal), Space SoundRecords from New York, and the Russian SP Records with whom he iscurrently working
