Singer-songwriter, Marie Borcard was immersed in the musical world very young, surrounded by a family of classical and jazz musicians.
At the end of 2007, Marie and her sister Mathilde get together to create the group "LES SOEURS SOLAM", combining video and music projects for stage and film.
They participated at the "Tourne;-Monte" film festival of the Sirius Cinema in Chatel-St-Denis and received the award for photography by a jury composed of Frederic Guillaume, Edouard Waintrop and Manuela Maury.
They Performed live on the main stage of the Monniati Festival in Geneva. After that performance, they got asked to open for Martina Topley Bird during "les Creatives Festival" in Onex.
The soeurs-solam collectif had to seperate out as Mathilde left for a one-year trip in south america. They kept working on differents video-clips projects from a distance.
Marie Borcard worked as a co-producer and featured artist on the well-known world-class bass-player and producer Fernando Saunders album 2011, and appears with her track snake charmer in the BEST-OF DEMOTAPE CLINIC 2009, which brings together the 16 best songs of the Swiss competition.
With hypnotic, rythmic and soulful compositions, Marie feels the world, singing out what's flowing in and around her. Mixing classical, jazz and soul, capable of both deepness and child sensuality, Marie's voice bewitches, touches or surprises. gggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
She's currently living between Berlin, Brooklyn and Fribourg, working on her up-coming album.
