Hi I’m Erik.
I live in Portland and [Mana Machines] is my electro-acoustic music project. I’m a fan of concept albums, classic sci-fiwriting, music history, Joss Whedon, and anime. I’ve made this project areflection and combination of a lot of my passions.

Because sci-fi writing has been a love of mine for years, my lyrics and style have been strongly influenced by it. I've also taken influences from bands like Rush, The Who, My Chemical Romance, Coheed and Cambria, and Janelle Monae. They all borrowed from sci-fi to color their performances with overtones of dystopian and utopian futures. My second release, “The Android Series,” was a tribute to these bands by way of an original sci-fi story built around thwarted love and using technology for emotional fulfillment.

My latest [Mana Machines] release is the EP “Human Relations”. These six tracks are the most infectious electro-acoustic pop songs I’ve ever produced. My two favorites are the songs “Space” and “UBIK” which were inspired by the writings of Robert Heinlein and Philip K. Dick respectively. I’m extremely proud of these two songs and audiences always love them.
