LOW-END NOTES ENTERTAINMENT
Born and raised onthe Southside of Chicago, Tony Rome's father left him at the tender age of 9years old. He was raised by a single mother. His mother struggledto make sure that he had the best life that she could possibly provide. After his father left, at the age of 9 was when he had his first run in withthe law. By the age of 12 he had joined a gang and started selling drugsand hanging out all night. He would ditch school and ended upgoing to jail. By the time he was 14 he had lost his only sister. Thisleft his mother to raise his 6 month old nephew. Tony and his brothers helpedhis mother with his nephew. Tony continued a life of hustling and atthe age of 17 he ended up in maximum security and was given 4 yrs. Whenhe came home Tony got right back in the same life style and 2yrs later at theage of 19 he went back to jail for 6 yrs. Now as a young adult at theripe age of 22 he got back into the same situation, because the game was how hegot his money and he felt he could rise above the struggle. Tony knew his mom’shouse was always open and a safe haven but he stayed on the streets hustling.
In 2001 he moved to Atlanta, GA.he thought that by coming to Georgia he would have a fresh start and be able tochange his life style. Once in Atlanta he started working, however, themoney from the streets was much better than his hourly wages and he couldn’t leave the streets alone. Once again he got caught and received 9 indictments and sentenced to 5 yrs. andwent to Jackson maximum security.
During his stay atJackson maximum security he wouldn’t comply with the rules and started fighting. As a result of the fighting he was thrown in the hole several times throughouthis sentence. Actually it was in the hole where his talent began to manifestand he began to write and focused on his music. This gave him time toreflect on his past and he decided to change his life and tell about the pastthrough lyric. When he was released in 2007 he went back to the projectsin Marietta where he now had two small children and he then vowed to himselfthat a life of hustling was no longer an option.
Tony soon foundhimself connected to Rich Productions, a studio where he did his first album“Cornbread Projects and Me!”
Today Tony Rome is heading hisown Record Label called “Low-End Nnotes Entertainment” and mentoring to otherartists as well as performing and producing his own music. Eventually he wantsto go back to Chicago to the Low-End to give back to the community andencourage the younger generation to always pursue their dreams and consider theconsequences of their decisions and never listen to “Haters”!
