Experimental seven-piece act Lost at Last was formed by South Africa-native keyboardist Om, singer Jaya Lakshmi, and guitarist Deva Priyo, who were soon joined by experienced musicians to make the band's self-titled debut album, released in 1997.
Combining traditional and electronic music in a mixture of computer-driven techno sequences and a jam session, Lost at Last moved to the San Francisco Bay area to start performing live. After signing up to RCA, the group recorded its second album in 2001, produced by David Tickle. ~ Drago Bonacich
