Taking their name from the Latin for "Place of Death," Italian black metal trio Locus Mortis formed in 2005.
Members MZ (various instruments), RM (vocals), and PV (drums) released their first demo soon after formation (a work entitled Sol Orierit in Loco Mortis) in 2005, and released their first full-length affair later that year, entitled Inter Uterum et Loculum. The band returned to the black metal consciousness with the critically well-received album Voust in 2007. ~ Chris True
