Hailing from the small Swedish town of Uddevalla and founded in the year 1995, Lars Wallin and TribeLars have the ability to draw the attention of audiences, telling compelling stories about life, travels and efforts for a more peaceful and prosperous world.
Lars Wallin’s songs have influences from the protest/folk music of the 60s, to the prog/reggae/punk of the 70s, to the Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime. The band’s music can be described as a blend from the 1977 Bowery in New York to the Australian bush. You will also find influences from the desert rebels in northern Africa, the touareg people. Musicians from the famous touareg band Atri n´Assouf and Tarlamt play drums and bass on Rue de mémoire, recorded in Paris march 2013. Lars Wallin and TribeLars have more than 10 years of experience working with The White Cockatoo Performing Group, an indigenous group hailing from Maningrida, Arnhem Land.
