Ksine was Jeremy Kolosine's 1st solo project (1999-2002) focusing on digital handheld controllers triggering analog synths with treated guitars and lo-bit samples. The first album was an eccentric electro-lounge effort with the subsequent 3 albums being dark-ambient instrumental releases of abstract "anti-Christmas-music" music.

BIO:

After moving from London to the Miami area,Jeremy Kolosine founded the early '80's electro-punk group FUTURISK (1979-1984) and put out two 7 inch vinyl releases.

In the '90's he was synth/guitar/vocalist for the experimental shoegazer group SHAKESPACE and released 3 CDs.

In the early 2000's, KSINE released a full length CD of solo electro-lounge songs and 3 instrumental ambient CDs.

In 2003, RECEPTORS was formed to concentrate on creating music & video using various 4 and 8 bit sound chips(using Gameboys, Ataris, NES, Commodore 64, and circuit-bending.) In recent years, Receptors has performed at NYC's legendary Blip Fest, CMJ and Bent Festivals, showcased at Austin, Texas' SXSW Festival and Iceland's Airwaves Fest, and in 2007 Jeremy Kolosine performed the first ever circuit-bent performance with a full symphony orchestra (The Roanoke Symphony). Receptors released a 7" vinyl split EP with side project Mommy Was an Asteroid (MWA) in 2005, and in 2007 MWA released a 10 track gameboy album on Germany's Retinascan label.

Also in 2007, 8-BIT OPERATORS - The Music of Kraftwerk , a various artists project spearheaded by Jeremy Kolosine, was released on KRAFTWERK's U.S. home label, Astralwerks. (Check out the Receptors interview on National Public Radio).

In 2009, Jeremy completed construction of "21st Century Retro-Futurists", an audio/video installation for The Taubman Museum, and joined the Blip Fest Europe / 8bitpeoples tour of Denmark and Poland (Era New Horizon Film Festival.)On 09/09/09 the Kolosine-curated 8-Bit Operators' "WANNA HLD YR HANDHELD" Beatles Tribute was released. Receptors closed out 2009 with the release of the USER Deluxe EP on the world-renowned 8bitpeoples chip-music label.

In 2010, the 30th Anniversary vinyl 12inch of Futurisk's PLAYER PIANO LP was released on Minimal Wave Records , and Receptors' SLEEPER CD was released on the Handheld Heroes label.

In 2011 Jeremy Kolosine embarked on an analog/ digital/ multi-instrumental compositional project intended for release in 2012.

OUT NOW... Futurisk's " Lonely Streets Remixes" with remixed tracks by Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle,Chris & Cosey), Tom Furse (The Horrors), Prince Language (DFA, Editions Disco) and Complexxion from the UK.

On 12/12/2012 Receptors Music Inc released the 8-BIT OPERATORS' DEVO Tribute: Crack That Chip! conceived/ compiled by Kolosine.
