Sometime in the early sixties, as a boy, he always loved music, in the early eighties he began his musical journey as a reggae performer with the street DJs and selectors, Redman was always loved by his audience. So when Grenada's police band ask him to be the mc for their calypso tent he jumped at the offer ,they repaid him by letting him sing a calypso. And like they say the rest is history. He moved to Toronto IN 1989 and started singing with the calypso tents, after pounding the pavement for the next 10 years Redman took a much needed rest which lasted for seven years . He was called back by special request and popular demand and upon returning in2008 he won the people's choice, and in 2009 repeated the peoples choice win plus the covited title of calypso monarch that same year. Humble he is yes, but make no mistake Redman has to his credits a string of recordings more than a mile long to say the least. He is also a performer who has international appearance's under his belt from Atlanta, to London England. A very versatile singer song writer indeed, you name the genre and Redman sings the song, he can be described in two words ,brilliant and relentless .
