Keith Allan Kramer, composer, conductor, recording engineerand guitarist, currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts and is an AssistantProfessor at Central Connecticut State University.
His compositions areperformed frequently throughout the U.S. as well as internationally. Keith isalso the recipient of several composition prizes. He has studied with ThomasDeLio, John Van der Slice and Stuart Saunders Smith. Keith received his D.M.A.in composition from the University of Miami and his M.Mus. in composition fromthe University of Maryland, College Park. Keith was the President of theBaltimore Composers Forum from 2008-2010, an organization that promotes newmusic through innovative and cutting edge programming. His music has beenperformed and recorded by many great musicians including the Slovak NationalSymphony Orchestra, conducted by Kirk Trevor, the Moravian PhilharmonicOrchestra conducted by Vit Micka, David Taylor, Gottfried Stoger, DavidLaVorgna, Joseph Satava, Pictures on Silence, Jade Strings, Azimuth Quartet,Mariner String Quartet, Sonora Ensemble, Alan Ngim, George Weremchuk and MaikoSuzuki. Recent performances of Keith’s work included highly successfulall-Kramer programs in New York's Merkin Hall in 2006 and 2010. Keith's latestorchestral work Emerge, whichis heard on the Navona release Mementosand appears on an all-Kramer double album Emergereleased by Navona in the fall of 2011. Another all-Kramer release, Causal Dualism, was released by Navonain 2012, featuring Keith’s works Duality,for soprano saxophone, bass trombone and string quartet, and Causality, for string orchestra,percussion and piano.
