French pop heartthrob Julian Cély was born May 25, 1983, in Istres.
Just 20 years old when he cut his debut single, "Tournent les Vents," he further elevated his profile opening for chanteuse Anggun on her first tour of Southeast Asia. In 2005 Cély entered the studio with producer Francis Maggiulli to begin work on his debut LP. Highlighted by the lead single "Cargo du Nuit," a duet with Stereo Blackstarr, the self-titled effort proved one of the best-selling French debuts of 2006. ~ Jason Ankeny
