J.P. Shalala is a passionate performer, instructor, and owner of a project studio in Hamilton.
He dazzles audiences with his eclectic solo show, singing and playing his acoustic six-string with authority, or fingerpicking fan favourites on his classical nylon string. The shows range from popular night spots to weddings and private parties. He also performs regularly with his partner Deanna as "The Shalalas", an appropriate name for this successful husband and wife duo.

J.P. is an avid music instructor, motivating new students to excel at their new hobby or honing in on the skills of experienced players. He instructs students of all ages, teaching all styles of guitar, as well as bass, voice and ukulele. He teaches single and group lessons privately in Hamilton or at Long and Mcquade in Burlington.

He also produces and engineers in his home studio, the same studio he recorded his band's debut, self-titled album "ebbNflow". His clients are typically singer/songwriters and small bands looking for the guidance and skill of J.P. to record their songs in a fun, friendly, and relaxed environment.
