I am an Iowa based graphic designer and illustrator I have been freelancing part-time for the past 15 years and I am ready to move to full-time to make Skitzo Design an official company.

My fascination in the arts started way back when I was a kid and to my Mom's chagrin I wanted to draw on everything in site. I loved the positive reaction my drawings would get from my family, which only reinforced my desire to draw more. I would beg my mom to buy every "How to Draw" book available in our school book orders. Over time my drawing skills got better, which is where my illustration roots began to develop. Of course my favorite subject in school was Art class.

When I graduated High School in 1997, I enrolled in graphic design courses at Hawkeye Community College and earned my Associate's degree two years later. Determined to earn my Bachelor's degree, I started taking part-time online courses at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2007. Sadly, I had to drop out because of financial reasons with only about ten courses to go. I did however gain a ton of knowledge and experience from my time there and it gave me some great new pieces for my portfolio.

As an illustrator I love to work with both traditional and digital mediums. My style is more cartoony in nature than ultra-realistic. But I can do realistic if needed. I love it when I can add a bit of my sense of humor to an illustration. As a designer I work mostly with the digital mediums. My personal style is a bit dark and edgy but my first priority is to provide my clients with what fits their needs.
