An Irish born (April 24th, 1947 in Banagher, County Offaly) country singer and songwriter, Johnny McEvoy was best known for the singles "Muishin Durkin" (1966) and "Nora." He was most active on the charts in the 1960s, but continued to record, release, and perform material for many years afterwards.
