Joey Drugsta is best known for his controversial content, his high speed twist on words and his variety of flow. He started his music career when his good friend and producer, NEF, approached him with the idea of putting a new swing in Hip Hop. Together Joey and NEF created the Hip Hop group " BKBR ", which was re-named Government-X shortly after it was created. Their project was very brief and Joey Drugsta began to span out and started to work on solo projects. In 2005 Joey created his first mixtape, the " 2005 Chea Mix Tape ". That album was produced and recorded at Chea Records in Wisconsin.

In 2006 Joey Drugsta was beginning to go viral and recorded another solo album titled " Strictly Suburban" engineered by Brad Szperski and Polish Pimp Productions. Shortly after in 2007, Joey Drugsta teamed up with NEF again and formed another Hip Hop group " Criggity Clique ". They released an EP titled " Burban BZ " and began building a fan base from the bounce of the beats and flow of words. In the mix of doing a wide range of collaborations with NEF and other various local artist in Illinois, Joey Drugsta was working again on solo projects, dropping several singles while appearing on other artists work.

In 2008, Joey Drugsta teamed up with a friend of his Chuck Manson, they created a Hip Hop group called " Cloud House ". They originally recorded a mix tape " 217 Hip Hop". In 2009 they began playing shows in near by East Side St.Louis as well as local bars and clubs in Springfield Illinois. Joey Drugsta led Cloud House to a competition for a spot on a compliation CD at well known night club in Sauget Illinois. After tearing up the stage doing what they were best at, they won a spot on the CD and got their song " Weeded Out " pressed onto The Daily Grind STL Underground Hip Hop Compliation Volume 1.

2010 was a big year for Joey Drugsta, he had a fan base growing while opening up for national labels such as; Atlantic Records, Strange Music, Suburban Noize, Cash Money Records and many more. In 2010 Cloud House switched around some members and Chuck Manson had to leave the group. In his place came ShmoZilla, another local Springfield Illinois artist. They went on to do several shows and put out hours worth of music together. Joey Drugsta continued releasing solo albums such as " Valium Volume One ". By 2011 Joey had his fans behind him and the mic infront of him and he was ready to show his style to more then the local scene.

In 2012 Joey Drugsta moved away from Springfield and went south to Carbondale, Illinois. He pursued his musical career by teaming up with local engineers and producers. He released his single " My Butcher Knife " under 45 Caliber Records with engineer David Batts. Joey is currently networking and recording a new album set to release in 2013. Joey Drugsta is currently an active stage performer and recording artist.
