His Dad bought him his first bass when he was very young, and it wasn't long before Jimmy was playing all the hits. He was eventually drawn into the world of Jazz which led to his love affair with the electric bass and the double bass. Throughout his career, as well as working as a vocalist, solo artist and composer, Jimmy has played and sung many genre's including Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, Celtic, Scottish, Irish, Bluegrass, Pop, R&B, Soul and Big Band throughout Scotland and the UK. He is also in demand as a session musician.
