It was a dark, cold, winter night when Jesse Rocks was born in Helsinki, Finland, 1991!

Fearless Viking from the cold North. A musician and a film maker, it runs through

his blood, and as evidenced in his Film and Video, it drips red and thick!

When Jesse was very young, his neighbor started teaching him piano. He became

instantly addicted to the sounds and formed his first band in elementary school, playing

bass. Rocking and thrashing out metal songs. His first concert was performed at that

same school. It was an overwhelming success!

Jesse recorded his first album at the age of 12 with same age friends, mostly

improvised in a Hippie, far out groove!

The film bug bit into Jesse with his first video camera. He wasted no time making

jackass type videos, jumping off buildings and playing pranks on unsuspecting old

ladies. He earned many bruises and a lot of praise with those early videos.

He attended Media High School, where he learned Filming, Editing, and making

more and more music.

From there, Jesse directed his first short film, THE FROST, which was shown in

Hungary, Finland, Denmark and Germany, with great success.

In 2008, Jesse formed his second band, The Various Artists. They played hardcore

Rock and Punk and Jesse Rocks was the singer. The band played hard at festivals and

shows. It was a crazy, fun time for all!

Jesse worked on his first feature film in Finland as a Sound Mixer, 2nd camera and

Visual Effects Editor.

After two years of dating, he got engaged to a girl. Would it be forever? Time would

tell!

His third band, RumatMiset (translates to “ugly men), was formed in 2009. They

played hard rock and metal, with Jesse their Singer and Bassist.

Jesse was next hired for his first job as a Visual Effects Supervisor on the short

film, Finaali.

His first big breakup with his girlfriend led to Jesse making his first solo album,

Jesbertos. It was sad and melancholy.

Jesse next started working as a Taxi Driver.

Soon, Jesse was traveling Backpack across India, Thailand and Laos for 3 Months,

and got his first tattoo in Thailand.

In 2011, Jesse was inducted into Finnish Military service, training as a Sniper. A

sure shot, he earned Golden Shooter and Golden Runner medals in the army.

Jesse studied Cognitive Science and also applied to film schools. He was selected

to New York Film School in Los Angeles and in 2013 moved solo to Los Angeles.

Thereafter, Jesse began making his second solo album, in Dance/Industrial genre.He then studied to be a Director of Photography and released his first music video,

Directed and Performed by Jesse Rocks.

Now a Rising Filmmaker and Musician, his intoxicating music is performed at many

clubs and events
