Cohen started singing and playing guitar at the age of 11. At 13 he began writing and arranging.. After high school, Cohen studied Audio engineering and was soon producing many of Oklahoma City's most innovative bands. After a decade behind the console Cohen moved to NYC in search of his dream of being a stage and street performer.

Cohen can be found performing at some of NYC's premier venues like The Bitter End, Knitting Factory, Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, Pianos, Kenny's Castaways, and subway stations W14th-6av, Metropolitan G, Bedford L Station in Williamsburg, Bergen St, Carroll St, and 7av Station, Parkslope, Brooklyn.
