I am a singer songwriter from southern Oregon and I love everything this area has to offer! Small towns, school pride, hello's from strangers, cattle ranches and row-crops and my personal favorite the MUSIC! I grew up in this area on the back of a horse from chasing cows to running barrels in high school rodeo, cooking in cast iron on a open fire at brandings and then.... I discovered music. My husband and I have known each other since high school rodeo and Ag shop, in-fact, it was his mother that might have been the sole person responsible for my music adventure! Like many of you out there, I too am a very animated singing artist when I have no clue I am being watched!! And yes.... she witnessed!! I am from a very large family and what children from large families have in common is ... WE DO NOT LIKE being the center of ATTENTION!! Let me explain this, when eyes are upon you... YOUR IN TROUBLE- think very hard of what you might have done or what your parents believe you might have done! In my case I was in trouble, maybe a little more-so than other siblings! Anyways, this woman black-mailed me to singing songs at her request and in return she would not share this little singing secret with the world! I apologize, I was asked to use the word "Extortion". Several years back she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and to honor her memory I recorded some of her favorite songs and had them played at her funeral. Well, and to keep this short- that was the beginning! Some of the most beautiful supportive musicians in the country live right here, they seamed to have found me and pushed me to discovered this new world! It was a rocky start with sad goodbye's yet doors seamed to open for me left and right and opportunities kept presenting themselves to me, I learned how one can truly touch others through music! I am currently the lead singer of The Lightning River Band. The Lightning River Band is made up of some of the most talented musicians and vocalists all in the same group- We are a variety dance band playing pop/country /blues and classic rock'n roll. We consist of 5 musicians and amazing vocals. We have played in Oregon, Idaho and Nevada but concentrate more in the Boise Id area and we are loving every min of it! This is my story!
