Mexican alternative band Jeroglíficos was formed in 1996 by drummer Mauricio, guitarist Fausto, and bassist Rodolfo, who were later joined by singer Christian.
Soon after, the band started touring around Mexico City, performing at small venues. By the same time, the group started composing its own music. When guitarist Jonathan joined the band in 1997, Jeroglíficos had the chance to open for well-known rock act la Castañeda. After recording their first demo in 1999, they had the opportunity to play along with Guillotina. ~ Drago Bonacich
