„Jens Zygar began his exploration of sound as a guitarist in the Hamburg-based Neue Deutsche Welle band, Große Freiheit.
Before moving to Hamburg, Jens’ formative musical and sound experiences were diverse; growing up in Liberia, Westafrika but moving to the North Sea Coast of Germany to attend boarding school, gave Jens a multicultural perspective on musical language.

This perspective, and the influence of author Hans Cousto, who introduced him to the concept of the ‘Cosmic Octave’ in the early 80’s, led him to setting out on his own in search of his ‘vision of a cosmical language for people and nature’.

His spiritual performances, which utilize a stunning array of ‘planetary symphonic gongs’, are informed by the frequencies, tones and harmonics conveyed by nature in order to develop a unifying aural language that addresses the relationship between ‘Body, Mind and Spirit’.

In 1984, after 4 years of studies in natural healing, Zygar setup the first in a series of dedicated holistic ‘Klanghaus’ spaces in which to work with sound as a transmissional medium.

Through the Klanghaus projects, co-founding the Stars Sounds Orchestra which lead to performances worldwide, Zygar has formed his unique approach to sound and performance centered on the self-fulfillment of the each individual in Body, Mind and Spirit.“
