The most important objective when on a first date is to be myself. All so often, people try hard to make a first impresson and behave in an unrealastic manner. With me, it is "what you see is what you get". With that said, I like going to dinner because restaurants are an environment that give people the opportunity to face each other and talk. I find this to be a great method for evaluating each other to determine if a second date will be on the horizon. I can generally tell rather quickly if there is any social connection. After dinner, it is nice to go for a drive or a long walk before saying good night.
