**BIOGRAPHY: Born in 1981 in Santa Clara, California, Jonathan Bell began rapping in front of an audience at a downtown coffee shop in the Fall of 2003, under the name “JB."

In May 2005, he pressed an album, “3 And A Half Bombs.” Unfortunately, the local hip hop scene was fading fast at the time and he was unable to sell many copies. However, he knew hip hop was not destined to die and he couldn’t keep himself out of the studio. Under the name “JAY B (US)” he found a niche on a music website called Soundclick.com where artists could submit their music via MP3 and be ranked on a chart system and gain listeners. Despite heated criticism for his against-the-grain style, he hit the #1 spot for hip hop artists in November 2006. Subsequently he hit #1 on several occasions and gained many fans on the site. Unfortunately, due to the loss of his job, he ran out of money in 2008 and could no longer afford to stay on the site. During a time when he was battling depression, he changed his name from “JB” to “John Rage” to reflect the darkness within.
