Singapore Dollar Fall To A 5-Year Low Against The US Dollar?
While the decline in currency value of neighboring countries such as Japan,
Malaysia, and Australia may seem to indicate that the Singapore dollar is
gaining in strength, this is decidedly not the case. The Singapore dollar is
simply falling at a lesser rate when compared to the aforementioned
currencies. When held up against the global benchmark that is the US dollar,
it becomes clear that the Singapore dollar has actually hit a 5-year low
during the third quarter of 2015.
When faced with this reality, can we then expect that the Singapore dollar
will continue to fall even lower throughout the remainder of the year? And,
with all appearing to be stable on the surface, what are some of the reasons
for it's continued decline?
