István Etiam is a singer/songwriter from Budapest (Hungary) living in the UK.

His songs fall into the blues-pop category. He plays electric, acoustic and slide guitar and harmonica. István enjoys performing live and loves the buzz of being on stage and connecting with the audience. He regularly performs in the UK as well as on the continent.

In 2016 István released his EP ‘Faith’, the first in his trilogy of ‘Faith, Hope, Love’.His second EP 'Hope' came out in 2019followed by ‘Love’ in 2020.In April 2021 he released his song ‘Yuri Gagarin’ on 7” vinyl disc, to commemorate and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Gagarin’s historic flight as the first man in space. István's debut album will be launched in late 2023, with a tour of European cities planned to coincide with the release.

His influences cut right across the musical spectrum: classical, jazz (Wes Montgomery is a favourite), blues (Blind Willie McTell, Muddy Waters), pop (Abba to Zappa) and folk music from around the world.

His favourite vegetable is beetroot and his favourite colour is green. He loves the quote by the American lyricist Edgar ‘Yip’ Harburg: “Wordscan make you think a thought, musiccan make you feel a feeling, a songmakes you feel a thought”.
