Under review a guide to urban music in Portugal “Infrarave/ Mix Mc” Para uma história de música electrónica urbana em Portugal assim foi na magia dos anos 90 e contínua: Grupo formado em inícios da década de 90 que se dedicava a musica de dança e era formado por seu mentor o luís Graça aka Mr Wave nos teclados, sintetizadores; e outros tantos elementos, nomeadamente, Miguel Ângelo aka Dr. Jones, futuro ult of kraméria, computadores, samples; e homero Bettencourt aka collie, futuro Kult of krameria também, vozes, misturas. O grupo começou a ser bastante conhecido no meio mas não tardaria que uma forte cisão se viesse a dar no seu seio. Dois antigos elementos e um ex-colaborador do projecto formaram os Kult of Krameria, a partir dessa altura, os Infrarave passaram a ser o Alter Ego de Luís Graça. E para não ficar um pouco incompleta a historia…contiua…, sim depois da separação da primeira formação, ficou Luís Graça mais Fernando Marques com concertos pelo norte e Algarves até outra separação. Veio a terceira formação acrescendo-se de João Folgosa com colaborações nas fozes da actriz Sofia se Portugal, com vários concertos já em Lisboa no mítico Paradise Garage e mitico Alcântara mar, contando já com Paulo Ribeiro Aka Mix Mc, live performances pelo norte centro e Algarve sucedeu-se á posse de Mix Mc ao projecto comprando os direitos ao mentor Mr. Wave, passando pois porem a Mix Mc ser o homem da frente e Alter Ego se assim o entenda-mos por sua vez?! Interprete, Autor Paulo Ribeiro elevou o projecto através de edições autor e por algumas parcerias e editoras e com sua oficial distribuidora Megamusica e editora. Depois do CD de maior impacto “Psicadelic Therapy” fora um no stop de CDS, normais e duplos e 2 vinil. Passando por Alcântara mar, Benzina, Models, Coconuts, Cc, Alabastro, Império Romano, Heart and Soul Reivelon 1998, In, Perestroika, Mt, Absluto, Naufrágio, Climacz, Hd Peniche, The day After e outras mais…com seu próprio estilo, sua marca afro, com uma linha estética ecléctica, convencional embora caindo por vezes no dija-vu. Paulo Ribeiro had been connected to the break dance movement as a dancer when, in 1991, decided to devote himself to music. The seduction of the acid house movement was strong and the musician began to gather material for studio and create their own sounds of nature still very experimental. At that time the project is in contact with Infrarave that existed for about a year and was dedicated to dance music. Those responsible were Luis Graca (aka Mr.Wave, keyboards, synthesizers), Michelangelo (aka, Dr.Jones, future Kult of Krameria, computers, samples) and Homer Bettencourt (aka Collie, future Kult of Krameria, voices, mixtures .) The group was going through a phase of strong expansion and was already recognized in the middle of the dance music however, a strong spin-off was to give up in their midst. Michelangelo, Homer and DJ Bettencourt Migas (a former collaborator of the project) form the Kult of Krameria, assuming musical differences, tastes and ideas. Suggested the need to move to areas more danceable, more related to the activity of DJ itself, trying to create something different within the genre. The defectors claimed that many people Infrarave pointed to an excess of breaks, but this is not the most appropriate way to composing music for dance floors. With this rupture, Infrarave became the alter ego of Louis grace that invites Paulo Ribeiro (aka MC Mix) to the group. The latter begins to operate the rhythm boxes and manipulate the computer - an Atari at the time - in the sense of composition. In 1995, Luis Graça away from the project - while retaining oversight - passing Paulo Ribeiro working solo. Two years after the first CD is released in that capacity, "Psychedelic Therapy," which will follow seven, two of them doubles.
