Infernal Nightmare formed in summer 2007 thanks to the work of the frontman Andre, who decided with Nibbio to remedy the failure of an heavy metal band's by offering as a singer to replace the previous one.
Although the boys liked different kinds of music they started to work hard on a heavy metal project strictly based on the model of Manowar. On the bass player's arrival (Ste) they created a repertoire of covers just to start with and to play in live shows. Afterwards Mike (a musician strongly influenced by bands like Opeth and Dream Theater) and Ettore joined the group and they started to introduce more complex guitar solos and more technical drums in their sound. It was in winter 2008 that the band got tired with playing other artists' music -although personalized- and they started to compose their own pieces drawing on each member's favourite musicians.
In March 2009 Infernal Nightmare entered a studio for the first time, and recorded their first track Demon Inside which was from the very beginning appreciated by local musicians and fans.
After lots of concerts and performances, at the end of summer Mike and Ettore decided to leave the band in order to concentrate themselves on a progressive metal project. Without getting discouraged the three former members got over it at once and recovered Ale as drummer and Manta, the new solo player. From the very beginning they were up to the project.
In January 2010 the band with the new lineup recorded Last Broken Breath.
In summer 2010 there was another change of lineup when Ste left the band and Manta was expelled. They were replaced by the talented Niko Wilson on lead guitar and Paul Nebu on bass guitar and screams choirs during live perfomance.
Now the band is going to come back in studio and record the remaining tracks of their first official full lenght album.
Although each member of the band has different tastes regarding both style and music, it seems that the project is progressing very well, making this the true strength of the band, which plays a somewhat innovative and peculiar genre.
