The moniker Bizmo comes from the combination and abbreviation of the words business and money.
At an early age, Bizmo knew what he would strive towards making a name for himself as an entertainer. Bizmo was born in Kingston Jamaica, but spent most of his childhood growing up in St. Thomas, with his mother and other siblings. Bizmo traveled back and forth from St.Thomas to Kingston {Papine} where he visited and sometimes lived with his father. As a kid, he would skilfully imitate artists like Bounty Killer to delight his friends at school. In 1998, Bizmo and his family migrated to Canada. In that same year, Bizmo began to perform his songs which were self written. From Bizmo's childhood years it was evident that he was destined to be an entertainer. He grew up in a big yard, where he was inclined to entertain many of his family members; he was musically inspired to do so. In 1998 , when he arrived in Canada he started to perform at professional shows. It was at these performances that Bizmo began receiving the exposure to a vibrant public that convinced him of his future success as a performer. Bizmo has performed in concert with a variety of artists including: Bounty Killer, Baby Cham, Wanye Wonder, Madd Cobra, Turbulence, Power Man, Anthony Malvo, Tifa, and Charly Black, to name a few. Since becoming an artist, Bizmo has branched out, from behind the microphone to the producer'’s chair where he is able to free his creative expression. He is the founder and owner of indie label IHouse Records which produces tracks for mainstream and underground artists locally and abroad. Bizmo has produced for Jamaican reggae artists including Blak Ryno, Lexxus, Power Man, Deva Bratt, Louie Rankin, Anthony Malvo, as well as Canadian underground artists. Bizmo produced a track for “Wobblin That Ass” by Cadence “The Million Dollar Baby”, who won best female rapper at the CSRA Awards in Augusta, Georgia and was nominated for best female rapper at the Hip Hop Underground Music Awards in New York City.In 2011, Bizmo began producing music for rising Toronto artists, including J Noble, in which he produced the song “Crash Weed” ft Louie Rankin. Bizmo also produced songs for Pa Chino and Rycie. The past few years have been busy for Bizmo as he continues to make a name for himself in the reggae and dancehall industry. Bizmo has performed at shows in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. as well as, in Jamaica. In 2010, Bizmo was introduced to Louie Rankin aka Teddy Brukshot from the cult classics “Shottas” and “Belly”. Bizmo has written several songs for Louie including “"Keep it Moving"”, I Like Money”", Gettn Money Now, Crash Weed, which were produced for IHouse Records and “Weh Dem Ah Guh Duh” featuring local artist Omega, which was co-produced with AR15. Bizmo and Louie collaborated for the song “Gettn Money Now.” The music video is featured on World Star Hiphop, Media Takeout, Forbes DVD and Rising Star Jamaica. Bizmo was featured on Louie Rankin’s Canadian tour throughout this past year. Bizmo also made a television appearance with Louie Rankin on the Fox Network, which was sponsored by Rolex. Appearance on Much Music with Drake, for the video “In the Hood” by P Reign.
Through the networks made with Louie Rankin, Bizmo made his acting debut in the film “"We Run These Streets"” set in Toronto. Bizmo plays the part of character Dramatic, who is a hot-headed gangster.
Bizmo has created quite a buzz within Toronto, which has opened the door to many collaborative endeavours. Reggae artists often visit and record with Bizmo at his IHouse Records studio.
He has also worked with other producers including Jimmy Jump and Alex Robert which have produced tracks for Deva Bratt, Aidonia and Elephant Man.
Bizmo is known as an artist, producer and songwriter. He is known for his musical talent locally and internationally.
