Ever since a young age Heather Schultz has always had apassion for music.
It all started with Santa bringing her Mr. Microphone forChristmas one year. She was highly involved in both community and schoolmusicals as well as taking dance lessons throughout childhood and high school, including choir and show choir. After being a musical theater major at ColumbiaCollege in Chicago she dived into a commercial pop singing career. Tokick-start it she made a demo of cover songs in 2000 and started displaying herabilities and talents at Chicago radio station, B96 on the morning show withEddie and Jobo. After creating the concept for her record label in 2001,Volcanic Records, she began work on her first CD sampler EP of her ownoriginally written songs. She was blessed with many opportunities at that timeat B96 and gaining encouraging words of wisdom and support from her musical"big brothers" sort of speak in 98 Degrees. Heather's musicalinfluences are in the whole ray of the pop genre. Several of which being 98Degrees, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, MariahCarey, Madonna, and Janet Jackson, but her biggest influence comes from a placemore personally within. She writes her own songs, so each song could be said tobe a chapter right out of her own life. No need for personal questions for her, just refer to the music. She thanks not only her musical influences but alsofriends, family, and real life. That gives her the material and strength forsuch a cutthroat business. And in saving the best for last she gives credit toinfluence and mostly gives thanks to Jesus Christ. After much hard work on herfirst EP release in 2003 she released her first single, "Cloud 9" tothe top 40 radio stations around the nation. In promotion of her self-titled CDshe traveled around the Midwest and the Chicago area at various clubs andfestival venues in 2004 including high school tours, Borders Books & Musictours, and the IL State Fair. 2004 was also a land-marking year for her recordlabel; Volcanic Records was officially incorporated that year. In 2006 Heatherrelocated herself and Volcanic Records from her hometown, the windy city, tosunny southern California in the Los Angeles area. Additionally she began workon a new album, her first full-length album. She's very excited to continueworking with other talented business friendships. It waspremiered on SoCalNow which broadcasts on MTV trs and KCAL 9 in Los Angeles. Inaddition to that she enjoyed promoting her music video with an interview onSoCalNow. But Backstabber cannot only be found in Los Angeles, but worldwide. You can watch Backstabber through all sorts of internet platforms such asMyspace, YouTube, etc. June of 2010 Heather graduated UCLA's music businessprogram to become more business savvy in one of the most dramatic businesses inthe world and is very thankful for the education and experiences that came fromUCLA. Entertainment, Style Network, andG4. She really enjoyed participating in 2011 awards season (Golden Globes, SAGAwards, Grammys, Oscars). She's been learning a lot about music publishing andmusic in general and how it relates to television network programming. In 2013she began working with the very talented and inspiring producer/singer/songwriter, Bellringer with Bellringer Music Productions. She enjoys working in thesocial media field at Bellringer Music Productions and is excited to see wherethis adventure will take her. She is still studying voice and training hard indance as well as songwriting at any chance she gets. She's been taking somedance classes at LA renown Millennium Dance Complex. The more she can do andthe more educated she is on a variety of levels in the music industry, the morewell rounded of an artist she believes she can be. She's thrilled, excited, andlooks forward to what she believes what will be the best she's put forth yet asshe goes through the creative process yet again. She knows she's still at thebeginning of a life long adventure, but looks forward to every minute of it.
