Singer Haley Pharo began pursuing her music career before she was even ten years old.
Growing up in Dallas, she began singing country standards in regional Oprys, eventually making frequent trips to L.A. to work with highly respected vocal coach Seth Riggs. As she grew older and gained more experience in the industry, opportunities to record session parts as well as her own music began to present themselves. Relocating to L.A. full-time, Pharo continued writings songs and began to develop relationships with other singers, writers, producers, and future collaborators. At one point, while touring as a back-up singer for Justin Timberlake, she met and befriended will.i.am and went on to record several of her own tracks with him, including an unreleased duet. Immersing herself in the pop industry, she continued to expand stylistically, eventually came to work with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Fun., Beyoncé) on what would become her debut album. Released in the spring of 2014 by Haywire Records, Pharo's self-titled debut drew comparisons to established artists like P!nk and Katy Perry. ~ Timothy Monger
