Hady Mirza is a pop singer from Singapore who rose to fame in 2006-2007 as the winner of the television shows Singapore Idol and Asian Idol.
Born January 28, 1980, he made his album debut in 2006 with Hady Mirza, which spawned a pair of smash hits (the English-language single "You Give Me Wings" and the Malay-language single "Merpati"). After winning the second season of Singapore Idol earlier in the year, he proceeded to win the first season of Asian Idol in 2007. The show pits against each other the winners of Singapore Idol, Malaysian Idol, Indonesian Idol, Indian Idol, Philippine Idol, and Vietnam Idol. ~ Jason Birchmeier
