What we believe:
The Word of God
We believe the Bible
is God’s complete
revelation to man, it is without error in every facet of life it addresses and it is the foundation for all matters of faith and practice—Psalm 19:7-10; 2 Timothy 3:15-17
God the Father
We believe God the Father is eternal and perfect, and sovereignly rules over all that is created, and He is intimately involved with His creation—Psalm 139:1-20
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who came to the earth—God in human flesh—to save lost sinners—Hebrews 1:4-9; John 1:1, 14
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the powerful and active Spirit of God who eternally exists as the third person of the Godhead—Acts 5:3-4; John 16:7-11
Mankind
We believe that mankind, though originally created innocent and in the image of God, has fallen into sin and is without hope of salvation apart from the new birth made possible by the
finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12
Salvation
We believe salvation is the act of God that makes a lost sinner an eternally secure, new creation in Christ the moment he or she accepts God’s universal offer to repent and believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Corinthians 5:17, 21
Resurrection
We believe that resurrection is the act of God that brings all who have died back from beyond—believers to eternal communion with God and unbelievers to everlasting separation from God—1 Corinthians 15:52; Revelation 20:12-15
The Church Universal
We believe the Church is the universal Body of Christ made up of all who have received salvation by grace through faith in the risen Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ—1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 26-27; Galatians 3:28
The Church Local
We believe the local church is part of the Universal Church
which exists to worship God, build believers and share Christ with a lost world—Hebrews 10:22-25
Believer’s Baptism
We believe baptism is a symbolic act of obedience to Christ’s command to be immersed in water in order to picture the death and resurrection of Christ and the Christian’s death to his old life and his spiritual resurrection to a new life in Christ—Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 8:36-38
The Lord’s Supper
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic representation of Christ’s body and blood, observed by Christians as a remembrance of His redemptive sacrifice until He comes back to earth—Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
The Return of Christ
We believe the Return of Christ is the fulfillment of His promise to return personally and visibly in glory to the earth—John 14:1-3; Revelation
