Funambolique project is a mix of written music and improvisation, acoustic and electric sounds that’s the result of diversified experiences in various music approaches: a rope-walking band born from theatre experiences and later re-born as indipendent ensamble for live concerts in music festivals. The project is based on multi-cultural performance, playing a sound that is both live concert and soundtrack of sorts for theatre pieces, movies or readings. The evoking-narrative sound, a mix of improvisation and written music, is created by using different styles, giving always the audience the idea of a scene and a character

Funambolique’s first cd “Disponibili Anche su Altrui Funi” was released in 2010. The second one, “Arzestula” (by the omonimous tale of Wu Ming), was released in 2011, featured by Wu Ming 1.

…dalla musica di scena al concerto live

Funambolica formazione nata da esperienze musicali in teatro, readings di poesia e narrativa, documentari e poi evolutasi in ensamble autonomo nei festival musicali. Funambolique e’ un progetto la cui idea di base è quella di un ensamble adatto a creare situazioni sonore e musicali finalizzate alla narrazione di una storia, sfruttando le qualità evocative della musica scritta e dell’improvvisazione. Musica quindi composta e improvvisata, destinata, oltre al concerto live, a readings, spettacoli teatrali, film, video, mostre d’arte e quant’altro…dalla musica di scena al concerto live, dal concerto live alla musica di scena.
