www.thefreewheelers.nl is an international act, performing blues, rock, jazz and soul music with an electric cello, accompanied by bass, and when performing as a band, drums and optional keyboard.
A truly unique sound is the result. Try to find another band that’s doing this!Ilene McHolland has performed with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, jr, and many other great musicians. She’s a multi instrumentalist that grew up in a barbershop choir family. Her husband plays bass guitar since his teens, and worked in the field of music since age 15, as booker, barman, sound- and light technician, and from around his 30th as studio musician.
The Freewheelers Cello Band has performed around the Bay, at Ephemerisle (a floating Burning Man), CoveStock, RiverFest Sacramento, BurgPop Amsterdam, Reus Blues Festival, Fun West Fest Alicante, and many many more occasions.
