The music of Flieder strolls with unwavering calmness through Trip-Hop, Post- and Progressive-Rock and creates an intimate and approachable atmosphere.

Thomas and Thomas again and again sample and loop tracks live: Four naked hands and feet constantly operate pedals, controllers, keys, strings, drumheads, chimes and a few vocal loops are the only pre produced tone threads in a dense tissue of heavy harmonies, self-confident beats and catchy hooks. Not only has the duo played countless support shows for various artists and shows in Switzerland and abroad, but also received plenty of airplay on alternative radios through Switzerland and Germany with their debut album eins (2010). Their newest release Passing By immediately ties in with their last album and is in every respect a fetching advancement of the virtuosity that the two friends use to rope in their listeners layer by layer into deeper and adventurous soundscapes.

The songs Traveller (featuring Natasha Waters, released in November 2013) and Beast place Passing By near to Massive Attack while the record overall unites the disturbing beauty of Mogwai with the spherical wideness of Morcheeba.
